It was a day like any other day. But when nine strangers enter a bank, they are caught in an event they never thought will happen to them. Once it is over, their lives change -- forever. In this episode, we see the aftermath of a 52-hour nightmare and meet these nine people as they try to get back to their normal lives.

The nine hostages begin the return to their lives after the bank robbery. Nick's job with the police is in jeopardy as Egan becomes a media superstar and Jeremy takes the situation into his own hands.

Kathryn returns to work and she finds out she is unable to disconnect from the events of the robbery, although she is still on top of her game. Meanwhile, Felicia is trying to regain the memory of what happened inside the bank during those 52 hours and Jeremy is emotionally confused over something he did at the hospital.

Lizzie leads a crusade to face Randall in court, although Nick disagrees. Egan invites Jeremy to his friend's bachelor party. Meanwhile, Franny is receiving harassing phone calls from Ricky's father in prison, and Nick advises her to talk to Kathryn.

Malcolm deals with conflicting responsibilities to the bank and to a dead friend's widow. Nick and Kathryn uncover a startling revelation about the bank robbery and Eva, and Franny learns Lizzie is pregnant with Jeremy's child.

Lizzie reveals a connection with Lucas that was established during the bank robbery. Egan plans a poker party, and Kathryn sees a new side to Nick and makes a decision about her future. Jeremy and Franny decide to take their relationship a step further.

While looking through Eva's things, Franny finds something disconcerting. Jeremy and Lizzie reveal their own secret of what happened between them during the robbery. Meanwhile, Nick's ex-wife is back in his life bringing her troubles with her.

Kathryn receives the mayor's support for the office of District Attorney, which could lead to a turning point in her career. Eight of the nine hostages are brought to the DA's office to discuss the security guard's death. Meanwhile, Lizzie becomes aware of the relationship between Jeremy and Franny.

While the robbery is going on, a note is found suggesting that the nine are being watched. Meanwhile, Lizzie disappears, and Jeremy and Egan turn to Nick for help while the group discovers Franny and Jeremy's relationship.

Egan blurts out on a talk-show with FBI negotiator Gavin Dunne that the Nine are being watched. Nick's boss Pete Burton officially questions the Nine, including Nick, who is convinced Lucas must have a third, inside accomplice. It's Nick who finds out it was the security guard, Tom, who was killed by Randall, and where they stashed away $200,000 in cash. Jeremy feels like the meet in the sandwich while his ex Lizzie and present lover Frannie ultimately come to terms.

Malcolm is being honoured by the Brother and Sisters organization, an African-American reach out union for the disenfranchised. Lizzie dates a new guy, she sets Egan up with a date of his own. Kathryn is running for DA, but has her doubts about the three strikes law (hurray!) and whether or not to use the bank as a running point.

Nick asks Malcolm for guidance in coping with an old promise of revenge for his father's death.

Kathryn is drawn dangerously close to Nick. Burdened by his sins, Jeremy makes a shocking confession. And Lizzie faces a crisis of conscience regarding Lucas.
