Ethan, recently fired and newly single, receives an ominous e-mail from a long forgotten high-school friend, Molly. Contained in it: a disturbing story of a Rideshare driver using the app for horrific means and a cry for help he can't ignore.

Social media superstar Sam receives a threatening e-mail that hits too close to home, prompting her to reach out to her ex, Ethan, for advice. Together, the two begin to realize that these strange, connected emails may have larger ramifications for more than just them. Meanwhile, a wallflower's sudden rise to stardom on a hot new app puts her in the cross-hairs of an international syndicate on the dark web.

James, another former classmate, finds himself next on Molly's "hit list" when he receives an e-mail promising a grim escape from "reality". Struggling to care for his ailing mother, he's hesitant to engage, though Sam and Ethan's call to action may prove irresistible. Later, the discovery of a key figure from Molly's past could shed light on her disappearance, if only they can find him.

The gang finally unites in Texas as the circumstances surrounding their missing friend become more urgent. An old friend of Molly's provides important perspective on her final days and a possible way forward. Meanwhile, a black market organ purchased off the dark web yields disturbing side effects for its new owner.

Amy, a dangerous woman with ties to Molly, demands answers the friends don't have, leading to an uneasy truce. The significance of Molly's disappearance takes on global implications. On the Dark Web, two lost souls find each other on an exclusive dating forum, but their first date could have grisly consequences.

Before disappearing, Molly Solis found herself searching for purpose: stifled by an unfulfilling day job and a passion for writing she felt slipping away. When she learns of a top-secret initiative at the cyber-security firm where she works, she can't help but be intrigued - though curiosity can be a dangerous thing. In the present, the promise of more clues is interrupted by an imminent threat.

A college freshman deals with gruesome side-effects after rumors about her go "viral" on the dark web. The gang races against time to save Molly after they realize they're not the only ones looking for her. Deep in the woods, a shocking discovery is made.

The season finale of Dark/Web. All roads lead to Molly, MIHR and an uncertain future. In the past, Molly makes a choice that will change everything. In the present, the friends face an impossible decision.
